I was watching a show on the tv the otherday, I think it may have been on SBS. It was about these school kids, except they were all deaf. They travelled from all over the state to come to this school, it was in the city. Anyways, what I never knew, was that so many deaf students do non academic subjects because the subjects they want to do for their VCE are not availiable due to the fact that not enough students want to do those subjects. Mind you there are under 20 or so students.

So in helping these kids go forward, we are also holding them back. Being made to repeat a year doesn’t feel good. Being made to repeat it due to not being able to do what you want, would suck even more.

On other news. We will be going to the Royal Melbourne Show this week. My brother went yesterday and said that although they have rebuilt it all and whatever, it is rather crap. The main arena’s are apparently boring. But I can put up with that, even if it is just for corn on the cob.

I’ve been working for a week now. It’s not too bad. Building and repairing computers. Setting the warehouse up. Its not boring. I thought it would be. But its rather entertaining. I also got an external modem from work simply so I could finally use Linux on the internet.
